Staff & Board Members

Anthony “Tony” Cimino – Executive Director – tony@boroarts.org

Prior to working at The Center for the Arts, Tony enjoyed a successful career as a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager in the managed healthcare field for the past 18 years.

Tony’s work with non-profit organizations spans nearly 35 years. Not only has Tony volunteered for nearly a dozen various non-profit charitable organizations, but he has also serviced on the board of directors for non-profit organizations such as the New Orleans Ballet Association, which is recognized as one of the tope organizations of its kind in the country. He was also on the board of Habitat for Humanity in West St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.

Michael McGee – Education Coordinator – michael@boroarts.org
Michael McGee, a teaching artist, resides in Tullahoma, where in 1977  he made his theatrical stage debut in his high school production of  Li’l Abner.  Since then he has performed, directed, and choreographed  productions nonstop all over Tennessee.  He has worked with  professional and community theatres as well as MTSU, Oakland,  Riverdale, Tullahoma, Franklin and Cannon County High Schools.  His  forte however is working with younger students.  He is currently an  Educational Assistant at the Discovery School @ Reeves-Roger, where he  teaches a special area class called “CENTERSTAGE!”  His personal  objective at the Discovery School is to get the students on stage with  an audience as early in their lives as possible.  He truly believes  that the stage is a great way build confidence and self-esteem, and  that it also comes in handy in teaching and learning valuable “life  skills and lessons,” anywhere  from self awareness and discipline, to  exploration and tolerance of other characters and experiences.

Jared Scott – Office Manager – Jared@boroarts.org

While Jared’s background is a mixture of information technology and office management, he also has a volunteer background in art and theater. After college Jared worked as an office manager for a very successful tree nursery before moving on to work several years at the University of the South in the Executive Offices as an Administrative Assistant. Jared previously volunteered backstage last year with the production of “Enchanted April”, only to later join other actors on stage in the cast of “The Sound of Music” as Herr Zeller and in “Big River” as not only the Counselor Robinson but also the Assistant Director.

Christine Peterson – Volunteer Art Curator – christine@boroarts.org is a graduate of the studio art program at MTSU and is avidly involved in the visual arts. As an exhibiting artist, she works in sculpture and printmaking to explore themes of pattern and observation. Christine has previously curated artwork for Tomato Tomato in downtown Murfreesboro, as well as working on student exhibits for Todd Gallery at MTSU, and off campus. She joins the Center for the Arts eager to both learn and contribute.
